“Doll! Look up at the stars,” the boy shouted toward his sister. “It’s not dark enough!” She shouted back and continued forward. I stopped, looked up and thought, they’re both right. Yes, up here in the higher elevations, the stars are brighter and more visible, but in an hour or two more, the nighttime sky would more than likely be magnificent.
Yet that dazzling sky would be a distant second to all the beauty and eye candy we’ve been blessed to see on this trip. Everywhere you turn it seems our breaths are taken away by more majestic sights. Between the five of us, we have seven cameras in operation. I spent much of our initial travel yesterday deleting old pictures from a memory card, trying to make room for more. Something tells me I may try to follow that procedure on another memory card today.
