Relief from political distress, day 9…

Can I just take a moment and remark, how great these last two weeks have been! I mean, the competitive spirit which has brought these two together. One a clear underdog, who the national media declared the loser and discounted the strength and character they displayed over the other whom many believed should be the victor, simply by virtue of desire and stamina. You couldn’t ask for a better contest to showcase to the nation just what strength and character really look like.

Man, it’s a great time to be a Cleveland Indians fan…. #GoTribe

It’s a cold and rainy fall day, leaves are covering our lawns and sidewalks, the only creatures stirring are squirrels anxious to bury the last of the walnuts to be found and an occasional human, not kept inside by professional football viewing. Today reminded me of last May, when the boy and I ventured to the shores of Lake Erie, hoping to see a few of the migrating warblers and other bird species traveling through. I walked around wearing a winter coat, gloves and a hat to stave off the cold. Today, I’ve done the same, except have no pretty pictures to show for my efforts. Instead, you can take a gander at some of these, from last Spring. Enjoy!

Only six more months until they come back, enlightening the area and helping to usher in warmer Spring and Summer temperatures.
